Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono Unveiled:

Ducati Hypermotard 698 Mono

The new Hypermotard 698 Mono makes use of Ducati’s first single-cylinder engine in 30 years. It is 59 cc liquid-cooled Superquadro Mono that puts out 76 horsepower at 9,750 rpm and 63 Nm of peak torque at 8,000 rpm. The motorcycle features a steel trellis frame that houses the engine and is paired with cast alloy wheels and Marzocchi suspension components, all aimed at managing its weight effectively. Contributing to weight reduction are the Aluminum flange discs, which are approximately 17% lighter than standard discs. The front braking system comprises a 330 mm unit with a Brembo M4.32 caliper, a radial pump, and an adjustable lever. At the rear, there’s a 245 mm disc with a single-piston floating caliper. The bike is equipped with a 45 mm Aluminum USD (Upside Down) front fork with full adjustability. In the rear suspension, a Sachs monoshock provides full adjustability as well. Both the front and rear wheels are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires.

The new Ducati single comes equipped with a 3.8-inch LCD display featuring enhanced black nematic technology. It also boasts advanced features such as ride-by-wire, Bosch cornering ABS, and four distinct riding modes: Sport, Road, Urban, and Wet. Additionally, it offers a range of electronic rider aids, including traction control, wheelie control, and engine brake control. The RVE variant includes a bi-directional quick-shifter as a standard feature, while this feature is available as an option for the base variant. Furthermore, the two variants differ in terms of color schemes and the frame, which is black in the RVE version.
